St. John's

History

St. Augustine's is a Christ centered community of worshippers who are open minded, alert to the changing needs of our world, with a desire to be caring, sharing and family oriented. Our ministry flows from our worship life and we seek to have active involvement in our worship, our education and our outreach.

Our worship is uplifting and inviting and is enhanced by a joy filled choir and by our Band.

We are blessed with a strong Children's ministry that is fun, informative and has a very innovative approach to enhancing the faith life of our Children.

Our Youth Ministry includes a strong CLB that has a truly powerful sense of zeal and purpose. Our Youth Worker facilitates additional youth ministry on Sundays and on Thursday night.

As the Anglican presence on Campus, we seek to have an active impact on the spiritual life of the students, the staff and the faculty. We offer monthly meals on Sundays immediately following the 11:00 AM service, an outreach supper to the wider student community 4 times a year, and monthly Sunday evening services in our church Hall.

Our ministry includes active organizations including the ACW, the Men's Service Club, a Choir and Band, Bible Studies and an active outreach and youth ministry.

9 AM Traditional Service of Holy Communion
11 AM Family Service of Holy Communion
7 PM On the last Sunday of every month we have a service of Holy Communion intended for the students at Memorial University.
